About

I am an Amsterdam-based figurative artist (b. 1997) working in oil, charcoal and graphite.
My paintings are inspired by the awareness that nothing remains exactly as it is. That awareness has made me increasingly attentive to the present and deeply appreciative of it.
What the viewer brings to the work matters as much as what I put into it. I want people to feel free to find their own meanings and associations.
Because of the time and attention each piece requires, my practice remains intentionally limited. I often think of painting as the slow cooking of ideas: a process that requires patience in a world increasingly shaped by immediacy.
